I am a thirtyish carbon-based lifeform in North Dakota.

I primarily read literary fiction, science fiction, and science nonfiction.  Less frequently, fantasy, horror, history, feminism, atheism, and philosophy.

My favorite authors include Margaret Atwood, Gene Wolfe, China Miéville, Oliver Sacks, and Carl Sagan.  Don't ask me to list my favorite books; we'll be here all night.

I believe that the magic of reading lies in finding the book you need at the time in your life that you need it.  It's rare, but when it happens it's like a key finding its lock, a perfect fit.  There's a click and everything turns.  The best books are the ones that evolve with you, the ones that always have something new to tell you, no matter how many times you return to them at different points in your life.
